Stelix is built by a small team of two from Germany. We believe that powerful AI should not come at the cost of your privacy, and that local language models deserve a better user experience.
Who we are
We are two young developers from Germany who share a passion for privacy-first technology and open AI. We started Stelix because we saw a gap: large language models were getting incredibly capable, but running them locally was still a painful, technical process reserved for power users. We wanted to change that.
Our backgrounds span from machine learning to software engineering to product design and marketing. We build Stelix end-to-end, from the inference engine to the interface you interact with every day.
Our vision
We believe AI should be for everyone, not just developers or people willing to hand over their data to cloud providers. Our goal is to make local language models as easy to use as any chat app, on every device, with zero technical knowledge required.
Stelix is our answer to the question: what if AI was private by default, worked offline, and still felt simple and polished?
What we stand for
Privacy is not optional
Your data belongs to you. Stelix processes everything on your device. No cloud, no accounts, no tracking. AI should not mean giving up your privacy.
AI for everyone
You should not need a computer science degree to use a local language model. We handle the complexity so you can just open the app and start chatting.
Made in Europe
Stelix is designed and built in Germany. We care deeply about European values around data protection, transparency, and user rights. Privacy is not a feature, it is our foundation.
Offline first
The internet should be optional, not a requirement. Once Stelix is set up, it works anywhere, on a plane, on a train, or completely off the grid.
